• to establish links between more than two Greek words, other related words are listed in parentheses
• words transcribed or borrowed from Persian, Aramaic or Latin are indicated
• for each entry, as far as possible and to broaden the meaning, several meanings are given in French
• when there are only one or two occurrences of a word, the references are put [ ]. When all references are listed between ( ) , a * indicates this.
